Number Mining
An endless mining strategy game where one number keeps you alive
Number Mining is a top-down game set in an infinite world. Build miners, grow a number, and push your frontier into ever deeper regions.
There is no currency and no inventory. A single number, your LV, is your health, your attack power, and your build cost. Every building you place makes you weaker, every shot you fire costs you, and when it reaches zero the run is over. There is no respawn.
You don't mine
Your buildings do. Place a miner and inject LV into it, and it automatically mines the resource blocks around it, growing what you put in into more. Whatever it mines piles up inside the miner, and it isn't yours until you withdraw it. When to inject, when to withdraw, and where to build: those decisions are the whole game.
1024× deeper with every region
The world is divided into regions around your starting point, and each region outward multiplies the required LV by 1024. Fall short and you lose LV every 5 seconds, and the further short you are, the more you lose. There is no healing, but retreating inward stops it instantly. The map itself is your health bar.
Region borders are sealed with solid walls of obstacles. Break through the wall and defeat that region's boss to open the next one.
Features
- A seed-based, procedurally generated infinite world. Blocks are walls, so the whole world is a maze. Ore veins are wrapped in rings of obstacles, and every shell hides a Star.
- Three buildings: the Miner, the Turret (rapid / sniper / cannon modes), and the Shield Generator. Buildings with no income of their own must be fed to survive, so the wider your frontier, the higher your upkeep.
- Three enemy types and four bosses: melee, ranged, and worm enemies; melee, summoner, barrage, and worm bosses. In deep regions, three bosses spawn at once.
- Special blocks: infinite, explosive, multiplier, divider, portal, slow/haste, hive, and cross/X blast blocks appear the deeper you go.
- An upgrade tree for the player, miners, turrets, and shield generators, plus ☆Star growth that carries across runs.
- 21 languages, a tutorial that explains every block and enemy the first time you meet it, rebindable keys, and fully playable without a mouse.
